The Strategic Consultancy Services team within Buildings and Cities delivers projects and services ranging in scale and complexity from a few million pounds to £20bn. The team is responsible for delivering construction projects from inception to completion for both Public and Private clients. They also provide support to the wider Mott MacDonald teams on major Infrastructure projects, throughout the UK and abroad.

Role Description

An opportunity has arisen to join the Birmingham office to undertake projects within the Strategic Consultancy Services team, support wider Mott MacDonald projects, and develop new workstreams within the Strategic Consultancy framework.
We are looking for a candidate in a construction related discipline with strong post graduate experience or recently chartered to join our growing Strategic Consultancy Services team.  You will be driving delivery and growth by working as part of a local team and supporting our national framework delivery.
The team is responsible for delivering construction projects from inception to completion for both Public and Private clients. 
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the delivery of both public sector projects from inception to the end of the defects period. A knowledge of buildings, general infrastructure and contract management would be an advantage. 

The role will encompass the following;
•    Feasibility Studies and scheme development
•    Procurement
•    Delivery of construction projects and contract administration
•    Management of risk and compliance 
•    Project management 

 

Candidate Specification

•    Degree Qualified in a construction related discipline.
•    Strong post-graduation experience or recently chartered.
•    Experience in the delivery of buildings and Infrastructure projects preferable
•    Project management & Contract administration experience preferable
•    Enthusiasm to become involved in and support wider projects and initiatives within Mott MacDonald.
