We are looking for a Delivery Manager to join our Central Digital Solution team. You will work with designers, developers, data scientists and technical colleagues from across the region to develop compelling new solutions to industry problems.

As part of the role, you'll collaborate closely with the wider solutions team and with stakeholders throughout the Central regions to lead the development of compelling new solutions to high-value challenges.
The immediate team embodies Mott MacDonald’s domain x digital capability with project managers working alongside developers, data scientists, civil engineers, asset management specialists, environmentalists, and others to create innovative new solutions. You will manage a range of development activities from prototyping, through to testing of solutions. You will also promote and instil best practices in agile development, robust code development and the creation of replicable patterns and reusable code.


The main duties and responsibilities of the role are: 

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with  stakeholders and the solutions team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and developers.

You will be assigned a level of responsibility and autonomy that enables the rapid prototyping and proving of solutions. 
 
The essential qualification for this role is experience in designing and delivering digital solutions within a commercial context; and communicating a consistent approach to Solutions Architecture to yield the best outcomes for our clients and our people.

Essential 

  • Proven experience in leading delivery of complex digital solutions.
  • Knowledge of a range of digital platforms and tools and their potential uses, including Microsoft and Architectural, Engineering & Construction (AEC) tool ecosystems. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical solutions and designs in plain language for a range of audiences. 
  • Ability to understand business needs and translate technical requirements into digital or IT scopes for others to implement. 


Desirable 

  • Experience of Microsoft technology stack (e.g. Power Platform, SharePoint, Azure), including interoperability or integrations. 
  • Knowledge and experience in solution architecture. An ability to work closely with solution architects to implement robust and high-quality standards. 
  • Experience of a variety of Architectural, Engineering & Construction (AEC) tool ecosystems and platforms, e.g. Autodesk Platform Services, Bentley iTwin, ESRI etc..
