The role
We are looking for an experienced content writer to join our regional marketing team in our Adelaide head office on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for developing content aligned to our strategic priorities for both our owned corporate channels and external publications.
The role involves close collaboration with other members of our regional and global marketing team, market leads, and subject matter experts across Asia Pacific, New Zealand and Australia. This role is integral to our overarching external engagement strategy, playing a pivotal role in the development and execution of our content plan and schedule.
We are looking for someone passionate about developing high-quality high-impact content, and bringing stories to life in a credible, creative and engaging way. You will need to be an excellent collaborator who can confidently lead conversations and interviews with a variety of stakeholders and be a great team player.
What you will do:
In this role you will be supporting the regional Brand and Marketing Managers in developing and executing the content plan for Asia Pacific, New Zealand and Australia. You will lead the ideation and creation of compelling and engaging content, such as thought leadership articles, reports, people profiles, press releases and project case studies.
You will be experienced in interviewing subject matter experts to extract key information to develop engaging articles, and case studies.
You will also be responsible for:
- Effective and efficient delivery of regular rhythm of ‘business as usual’ content assets.
- Creating and reviewing award submissions, materials and communications.
- Ensuring that the corporate brand, tone of voice and technical excellence standards are properly represented in all content.
- Develop strong relationships with our Group marketing colleagues and regional counterparts where relevant.
- Understanding business priorities and marketing objectives - working with our senior leaders on the team to identify storytelling opportunities.
About you:
We are looking for a highly experienced communicator and natural storyteller with good experience leading production of high-impact content within a busy department. Your proven ability to research topics and conduct interviews, and to quickly condense and clarify complex ideas into concise, easy-to-understand highly engaging copy.
You will a love of words and creative writing and a marketing, communication, PR or related background and experience in a similar role. As an outstanding collaborator, you will be able to form trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and can welcome different perspectives, with empathy for the positions of others.
It’d be a bonus to us if you have an understanding of consultancy, engineering, and/or the built environment and some familiarity with critical industry issues. Being familiar with Optimizely products, including Optimizely CMS, Optimizely CMP, and Optimizely Campaign, would be the cherry on top!
