Your Opportunity
Due to strong growth and recent wins in the Water market in South Australia, we are seeking a Design Manager, experienced in Design and Construction in the water sector to join our team in Adelaide. You will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia in a growing sector, working with local clients such as SA Water and DIT as well as national and international clients.
This role would suit somebody looking for a new journey, within a growing team and an interest in developing best practice with the local water industry.
You will have the opportunity to
- Act as Design Manager on Design and Construction contracts for major infrastructure projects, ensuring technical compliance, quality, and multi-disciplinary coordination.
- Develop innovative solutions for complex client challenges, shaping medium to large-scale water infrastructure projects locally and nationally.
- Oversee project governance, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables within budget, and champion health, safety, and wellbeing through safety-in-design processes.
- Support Project Managers in achieving commercial success, build strong client relationships, and identify new opportunities in the rail market.
- Implement digital tools and solutions to enhance project efficiency and delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to building capability within the water team.
- Assist with project pursuits and tender submissions, particularly for water-related opportunities.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders with professionalism and integrity
About you
- Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering or similar).
- Chartered or demonstrate equivalent credentials suitable for application
- Demonstrated technical experience in water design and civil engineering expertise
- Demonstrated experience in Design and Construction contracts
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with public and private sector clients.
- Strong project management skills with hands-on experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, valuing diversity and promoting inclusion
