Your Opportunity
Reporting to the Tax and Reporting Manager APNA, in this varied role as a Tax Analyst, join our Global Tax team to help navigate complex taxation requirements, enhance tax governance frameworks, and drive continuous improvement across compliance, reporting, and tax technology initiatives throughout Australia and New Zealand. This role is Adelaide based.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the preparation of tax compliance obligations, including income tax, GST/BAS, FBT, withholding tax and other regulatory reporting requirements.
- Preparing tax calculations, reconciliations, workpapers and supporting documentation to assist with accurate reporting and compliance.
- Supporting tax accounting activities, including tax depreciation, fixed asset records and tax provisioning processes.
- Using tax technology, ERP systems and reporting tools to analyse data and support tax compliance activities.
- Collaborating with Finance, Payroll, Project teams and external advisers to gather and validate information required for tax reporting.
- Maintaining accurate records, audit trails and documentation in line with governance, compliance and risk management requirements.
- Assisting with tax governance, process improvement initiatives, ATO reviews and tax-related projects.
About you
Skills & capabilities required-
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline, with progress towards or completion of CA/CPA qualifications preferred.
- Understanding of Australian taxation principles and an interest in developing expertise across income tax, GST, FBT and other compliance obligations.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with financial information and large datasets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to learn tax technology and ERP systems.
- Well-developed organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across Finance, Payroll, Project teams and external advisers.
- A proactive approach to learning, continuous improvement and maintaining high-quality documentation and compliance records.
