Role Purpose
Set the project or portfolio execution strategy and uses a cross-discipline project team to deliver the project safely, in line with company procedures, achieving the established gaols and objectives within the agreed baseline.  To provide leadership to the project managers delivering projects and implement appropriate governance arrangements to ensure all business risks within the projects or portfolios are mitigated.   Strong communication skills are needed to interact with other disciplines and clients daily.


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain a competent, effective and efficient integrated project team
  • Develop and execute effective strategies and plans to deliver the project baseline
  • Guide and support the delivery team to ensure that the delivery of the project is to the specified criteria, goals and objectives, complaint with appropriate legislation, Project Execution procedures and within the approved project baseline scope, cost, schedule and quality
  • Provide accurate and timely information and reports regarding project status, activities and performance
  • Implement and maintain effective communication to the project team and stakeholders
  • Early identification of issues, risk and concerns that has the potential to impact the project baseline
  • Propose, agree, implement and report corrective actions to secure the project baseline
  • Ensure compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, current legislation and standards associated with all engineering aspects of delegated projects.

To be considered for and successful in this role you will need:

Collaboration

  • Actively support and collaborate with project and engineering managers
  • Engage with various project disciplines to ensure seamless integration
  • Build and maintain strong relationships both within the organization and with external partners.


Experience

  • Experience in roles directly influencing project outcomes
  • Extensive experience in highly regulated industries, preferably nuclear
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, proven through successful project delivery
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance.


Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in project management or an engineering-related discipline
  • Professional status with an accredited body (e.g., APM, RICS)
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development. #LI-NM1
