About the business unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. From preparing the business case and advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.
Overview of the role
This is an opportunity for an experienced, qualified and enthusiastic Project Management professional to join our Transport and Mobility Solutions (TMS) team, to lead on light rail projects which incorporate business case development, infrastructure design, specification production and stakeholder engagement across the UK. You will work alongside a Project Technical Lead and will report to the Project Director and be responsible for coordinating the wider team to delivery outputs in line with scope, quality, budget and programme parameters.
Your role will require you to co-ordinate multi-disciplinary design teams, draft and manage progress reports, EWNs and variations, monitor cost and schedule, manage the Health and Safety and Quality Assurance aspects of projects, implement our Business Management System requirements (training will be required) and deliver against contract.
You will be confident in managing multi-disciplinary technical teams, ideally on light rail projects, as well as liaising directly with the client, and key stakeholders.

UK Immigration
Mott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK. This decision is as a consequence of the changes made to the Skilled Worker route by the UK Government in April 2024. We continue to welcome applications from candidates who are eligible for alternative immigration routes in the UK, that do not require sponsorship as a Skilled Worker now or in future.
