Empowering Communities. Building a Better Future.

Mott MacDonald’s Advisory team is expanding, and we’re looking for a passionate Project Manager to join us in either Auckland or Christchurch. Our team brings together expertise in Project Management, Infrastructure Advisory, Planning, Environment, Sustainability, and Climate Change Consulting to deliver impactful solutions across the full infrastructure lifecycle.

As part of our growing Project Strategy and Delivery (PSD) team, you’ll play a key role in delivering infrastructure projects across New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to join a global consultancy that values purpose, integrity, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage infrastructure projects, primarily in the Transport and Water sectors, with opportunities to contribute to other areas.
  • Begin with project administration and support, progressing into full project management responsibilities with guidance from experienced mentors.
  • Collaborate with design managers, clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Solve delivery challenges using sound judgement and experience, while ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

About You:

  • You hold or are working towards a relevant qualification in project management or a related field.
  • You have experience in project management, contract administration, or project controls, ideally within a consultancy or engineering environment.
  • You are confident managing timelines, resolving conflicts, and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • You have experience with NZ standard and international contracts, and ideally some exposure to design and construction contracting environments.
  • You are passionate about delivering projects that benefit communities and thrive in a team-oriented, inclusive environment.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive, inclusive culture that values wellbeing, teamwork, and professional growth.
  • Flexible working arrangements and enhanced KiwiSaver contributions.
  • Competitive salary and access to global resources and expertise.
  • Opportunities to work on high-impact projects that shape the communities we live in.
  • A commitment to sustainability, integrity, and continuous learning.
