About the business unit  
The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.   

 


Overview of the role
A Civil Designer for the hydropower team with expertise in BIM. Will liaise with all design and supervisory staff in the application and implementation works required to deliver designs.

 

The Civil Designer will undertake and manage the day-to-day operations in respect of the following key tasks:

  • Preparation and development of 2D design graphical documentation and structural 3D models
  • Producing Engineering documentation and drawings as part of the hydropower team
  • Undertake the delivery of work packages within tight deadlines and as part of a multidisciplinary project team
  • Thorough and conscientious checking of own work and others work in relation to the delivery of designs and drawings
  • Carry out and ensure Quality Assurance measure
  • Operate in accordance with the corporate health and safety, environment, and quality standards
  • Embrace the working culture of the Consultant

 


Candidate specification
Essential:

  • Civil Engineering or similar qualification 
  • Hydropower Engineering Design Experience 
  • Experience with 3D modelling and BIM Hydropower Experience 
  • Ability to work in English

 

Desirable:

  • Minimum 10 years Engineering design experience 
  • Fluent English
