Key Responsibilities:

Lead, implement, and manage endtoend environmental assessments for infrastructure development projects in alignment with UK environmental regulations.

Oversee and contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), Environmental Management Plans (EMP), environmental desk studies, and consenting/permitting processes.

Organise, compile, and analyse desk-based information as part of environmental assessments and studies.

Prepare technical reports, ensuring robust analysis, clarity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage project delivery, including scope, budget, schedules, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication.

Develop commercial proposals, support bid preparation, and contribute to business development activities.

Delegate tasks effectively while providing technical leadership, mentoring, and supervision to junior and intermediate team members.

Communicate environmental issues, risks, and solutions clearly with clients, designers, engineers, and project managers.

Lead and coordinate large or strategic environmental projects with strong organisational and project management capability.
Mandatory Requirements:

14–17 years of experience in EIA, environmental desk studies, permitting/consenting, and preparation of environmental management plans for infrastructure projects.

Strong understanding of environmental systems and EIA methodologies.

Demonstrated commercial awareness and ability to deliver work within defined scope, budget, and timelines.

Proven experience independently leading environmental components of complex, multi-disciplinary projects.

Exceptional communication, analytical, numerical, and organisational skills.

Experience managing and supervising teams, with the ability to motivate and mentor junior staff.

Excellent working knowledge of planning and environmental legislation, industry standards, and best practice guidance relevant to EIA.

Postgraduate degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline (e.g., environmental science, environmental engineering).

Fieldwork experience is highly desirable.
