Job Description
To support the function with some of the more administrative tasks that still require some safety knowledge, freeing up specialist safety teams to support the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Review of the incidents reported per year (around 40-50,000)
- Analysis of trends at regional and unit level and dissemination of the trends to unit and regional safety managers globally in a standard report format
- Identification of lessons learned and provision of a summary to be included in the above report
- The development of safety moments where required
- Re-categorising incidents as needed.
- Feeding back to staff through the reporting portal
- Compiling data packs for each region for regional quarterly reports and for the unit and regional boards (x6 per year per region)
- Potential assistance with setting up audits in some regions if required.
- Signposting specialist resources
- Responding to bids and FAQs for safety and travel
- Updating practice site documentation and knowledge-based articles for safety and travel
- Collating / updating annual negotiated rate database for import to online booking tools / TMCs
- Routine travel data extract (and clean) from third party systems
Candidate Specification
- Self-Leadership: Taking responsibility for one's own behaviour and wellbeing.
- Team: Being collaborative amongst the small safety function and with key stakeholders.
- Professional Excellence: Demonstrating a passion for continual learning and promote the use of global network systems to teams.
- Communication: Confidently communicating in a way that is understood and is receptive to the opinion and views of others.
- Teamwork: Willingly work in cooperation with others.
- Written Skills: The ability to produce clear and logical written communication and presentations in English
- Excellent skills with Microsoft suite is required, particularly excel for data analysis.
- Experience: Experience in safety, reporting and compliance, providing quality subject matter expert (SME) advice and judgement.
- Qualification: Some form of safety certificate/qualification is essential. Scope to progress for the right candidate
