Your Opportunity

Due to continued growth in the South East Queensland water market, our Water team is seeking a Civil Engineer to support the Next Generation for Delivery (NG4D) Program. This role can be based in our Gold Coast, Brisbane or Sunshine Coast office and will contribute to the planning, design and delivery of water, wastewater, network and treatment infrastructure across the region.

 

As a Civil Engineer, you will contribute to civil design inputs for water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, drainage systems and related network assets. You will work closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, constructible and sustainable design solutions, with a focus on technical quality, safety in design, geotechnical interfaces and client outcomes.

 

Depending on your specific expertise, your responsibilities will include various aspects of:

 

  • Civil design: Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical inputs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects with guidance from senior team members.
  • Water infrastructure delivery: Support design development for pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, drainage systems and network assets.
  • Geotechnical interfaces: Apply geotechnical inputs to support constructability reviews, ground risk considerations and civil design decisions.
  • Design coordination: Coordinate civil design inputs across multidisciplinary teams to support integrated project outcomes.
  • Technical documentation: Produce design reports, calculations, specifications, schedules and supporting documentation in line with project requirements.

 

About you

  • Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience contributing to the design and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure, including pipelines, pump stations, treatment facilities, drainage systems or network assets.
  • Civil design capability, including design calculations, technical reporting, drawings, specifications and interdisciplinary design coordination.
  • Exposure to geotechnical engineering inputs, ground conditions, constructability considerations and civil-geotechnical design interfaces.
  • Understanding of Australian standards, client requirements, design maturity, safety in design and quality assurance processes.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary project teams, clients and delivery partners.
