Your Opportunity

We’re seeking Water Resource and Flooding Engineers specialising in hydrology and hydraulics (stormwater and flooding) to join a rapidly growing team delivering complex and impactful infrastructure projects across Queensland and Australia.

We welcome applications from engineers across a range of experience levels, from early‑career professionals looking to build strong technical foundations, through to experienced engineers and technical leaders keen to shape project outcomes, mentor others, and contribute to strategic growth.

This role offers the opportunity to work on state‑significant transport and civil infrastructure, including the DSC Greenfield Project, alongside a diverse portfolio of work across the energy, buildings and transportation sectors.

You’ll be joining a collaborative and expanding water resources team, responding to strong client demand and sustained investment in major infrastructure. As part of an international consultancy, you’ll be connected to a global professional community—offering opportunities to collaborate with specialists worldwide, share knowledge, and contribute to projects both locally and internationally.

We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives are valued, and where people are supported to grow in ways that suit their career stage and aspirations.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure designs are practical, buildable and compliant
  • Liaising with clients, authorities, contractors and internal stakeholders
  • Hydrologic and hydraulic assessment of transportation projects, including catchment hydrology and flood modelling.
  • Preparation and review of technical reports, design documentation, drawings and approval submissions.
  • Contributing to programme delivery, risk management and quality outcomes.

About you

You’ll bring strong fundamentals in water resources engineering with experience applying hydrology and hydraulics to transport and civil infrastructure projects. You will have:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or similar.
  • Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling for stormwater and flooding (e.g. RORB, RAFTS, WBNM, TUFLOW, HEC‑RAS or similar).
  • Experience designing and assessing road drainage and cross‑drainage infrastructure.
  • Understanding of Australian rainfall and flood estimation practices, standards and authority requirements.
  • Exposure to DSC / D&C delivery environments, particularly preliminary design and construction packages (preferred).
  • Strong coordination skills and a collaborative approach in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Currently have or progress toward, or interest in achieving, RPEQ or Chartered status.
