Your Opportunity 

Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, Mott MacDonald's Transport team is currently seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Transport Planner for our Brisbane officeYou will be joining a diverse and passionate team with a proven track record delivering major projects across Australia.  With a focus on creating safe and climate resilient infrastructure that benefits the economy, society and the environment, you will have the opportunity to:   

 

  • Manage transport planning projects with a focus on public transport, ensuring outcomes that are sustainable, equitable, and community-focused.
  • Strengthen partnerships with key government organisations, leveraging existing networks to identify new opportunities and support strategic growth.
  • Coordinate cross-disciplinary inputs to diversify our transport portfolio and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to winning new work by preparing compelling proposals and commercial offers that reflect our technical excellence and delivery capability.
  • Provide thought leadership and connect local expertise with global best practices across the Mott MacDonald network.

 

About You 

 

  • Chartered Engineer with a Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in transport planning, with a strong understanding of public transport systems and stakeholder engagement.
  • A collaborative mindset and a passion for inclusive, community-driven outcomes.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire trust and build lasting relationships.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, mentoring others, and contributing to a supportive team culture.
