Mott MacDonald has an immediate need for a Structural Designer to help support and delivery a large variety of energy and oil & gas projects across North America.
As a Structural Designer, your roles and responsibilities are expected to include:

Create 3D structural models using AutoCAD, CADWorx Plant Structure 2020 experience is a must.

Prepare 2D packages from the design models.

Developing General Arrangement and detailed drawings for concrete and steel structures, including plant buildings, pipe racks, platforms, and tank farms.

Collaborate with other disciplines and the project engineering team for structural design requirements.

Create drawings with minimal supervision.

Develop technical drawings from sketches (determining appropriate scales, arrangement, and specific details of the drawings) from the concepts required by the engineering team.

Respect and enforce policies and procedures in the preparation of drawings.

Realize the different stages of the project in the timeframes and budgets.

Perform other related duties that may contribute to the projects.
Candidate Specifications:

Ideal candidates must possess 5-10 years of experience directly related to the drafting and/or design modelling of oil and gas structures (pipe racks, modular buildings, platforms, tank farms)

Hold an associates or higher degree in automated drawing or civil/structural engineering technology or in a related field, or working to obtain their degree

Experience working in construction is an asset

Have good communication skills (oral and written) in English

Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, CADWORX, Civil 3D, Navisworks, MS Office

Ability to work to meet cost objectives, quality, and deadlines.

Time management skills and adaptation to change.

In compliance with the B.C. Pay Transparency Act, the expected salary range is from $92,000 - $112,000 annually.
Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
