Overview of the role
We are looking for a safety professional to fill a key role providing support in managing health and safety across the EUNA region. We are looking for a motivated, proactive individual focused on adding value to the business.

 

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Provide support for the region and business units
  • Provide centralised bid support to ensure timely response and greater consistency to bids
  • Assist with development and delivery of safety training programme across the region
  • Support the EUNA Safety Manager in managing external suppliers
  • Assist the EUNA Safety Manager with review and delivery of EUNA Health and Safety Plan
  • Provide support/cover for Unit safety managers
  • Liaise with the Regional and Group Safety Manager as required
  • Assist with review and close out of incidents
  • Analysing incident data and monitoring of trends
  • Produce safety moments and safety shares
  • Assist with promoting safety culture across the EUNA region
  • Provide health and safety advice to staff
  • Assist with undertaking an annual health and safety management review at Regional level
  • Monitor and arrange for updates of country-specific health and safety legislation registers
  • Keep abreast of developments in health and safety legislation and practice
  • Production of data packs for monthly management and board reports
  • Assist the EUNA Safety Manager with management of suppliers (PPE and driver licence checks)
  • Provide support in managing the DAVIS system (driver licence checks)
  • Undertake travel safety reviews
  • Follow up on incidents relating to hire cars
  • Assist with the management of Mott MacDonald Alerts
  • Set a personal example

 

 

Candidate specification
Essential:

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Confident communicator
  • Team player who embodies our company values and culture, someone who focuses on the good of the business and function

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in delivering training
  • Completed NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum; preferably has NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in an engineering consultancy environment
  • Ability to deal efficiently with priorities and manage time appropriately
  • A dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels including external stakeholders
