About the business unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. From preparing the business case and advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.

Are you a Project Manager or Design Manager looking to work on a wide variety of projects, wanting an opportunity to branch out of your current niche? Our Heavy Civils & Infrastructure division here at Mott MacDonald is looking for seasoned Project Managers and Design Managers to join the team and assist in delivery of the design of major multi-disciplinary capital projects.
We are open to varying experience levels however candidates must have demonstrable experience with Civil Engineering projects.
The Heavy Civils & Infrastructure team encompasses 5 areas of engineering:
- Foundation & Geotechnics
- Information Management
- Bridges
- Special Services
- Tunnels
We are looking for individuals who want variety in their role, as it is likely you will work on projects across multiple areas of the division at any given time.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Project management and coordination with other engineering disciplines
- Design management & leading the technical delivery of consultancy services
- Managing client relationships, managing feedback, managing scope change and client expectations

What we are looking for:
- Experience within Project or Design Management in the delivery of major multi-disciplinary capital projects
- A degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering (or equivalent) is preferable
- Ideally chartered with a relevant professional institution (or equivalent)
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary projects, ideally within transport
- Experience working in the design and build environment
- Strong communication, team working and problem-solving skills
