Mott MacDonald’s support services are the driving force behind our organisation enabling us to run efficiently and effectively. The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.
Overview of role
You will have the opportunity to join an established, experienced, and supportive HR team within the Buildings Unit, which comprises around c1,600 employees at Mott MacDonald. Your support and advice will be required across four divisions located in the UK, Republic of Ireland, and mainland Europe, allowing you to engage with a wide variety of areas within our business.
Responsibilities to include:

Managing a wide range of ER cases across the UK and ROI. Including performance management, grievances, disciplinaries, absence management and providing excellent advice to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.

Advising on all generalist processes/activities, including secondments, local and global mobility, internal transfers, and relocations, to ensure a consistent approach.

Supporting the Senior HRBP team through change management processes, including restructuring, redundancy, redeployment, and consultation.

Building and maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships both within the business and wider HR community

Championing talent management, driving activities across the unit.

Acting as Wellbeing champion ensuring the wellbeing strategy is fully embedded.

Responsibility for the provision of data, tracking ER cases and absence management whilst identifying and providing trends and solutions to the Unit HR Manager

Supporting the design of training materials for the business

Assisting with reward cyclical activities such a salary reviews and bonus reviews including the analysis of data

Supporting the coordination of learning and development programmes

Deputising for HRBP’s in their absence

Making a positive contribution to developing guidelines for people processes and attend and participate in appropriate meetings and forums.

Ad hoc projects withing the HR community.
Essential:
-
Highly experienced and excellent technical capability with proven knowledge of managing a range of employee relations cases in accordance with UK legislation including grievances, disciplinaries, performance management, absence management, and redundancies.

Can do and proactive attitude with the ability to be self-driven and motivated.

Excellent analytical and numeracy skills with the ability to analyse and interpret complex data and people information.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to quickly build effective relationships with stakeholders in a collaborative style, including the HR community and colleagues across the business.

Good organisational and prioritisation skills with the flexibility to grasp and adapt to changing priorities.

Comply with Data Protection and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and ensure the security of employee information in accordance with legislation and best practices.

Ability to communicate both routine and complex information clearly at all levels, recognising the importance of attention to detail and confidentiality.

Good IT skills, including proficiency in HR Systems and Microsoft Office

CIPD qualified with at least a Level 5 certification and currently working towards CIPD professional chartership.

Experience within an engineering or consultancy environment.
