About the business unit
We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. From preparing the business case and advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.
Overview of the role

As part of our growth, we are looking for a Senior BIM Manager to join our team to support implementation of the latest digital design delivery methods and improved ways of working within our division. We are looking for someone with a deep inherent knowledge of technical standards and production methods but that can also combine this with astute leadership and management skills to be able to drive change throughout our major projects. Our team are already working with major clients across the UK and North America, focusing on delivering innovative digital project delivery solutions to address our client’s needs. Delivering projects and providing leadership:
Day to day you will lead the BIM delivery of projects, helping to manage concurrent priorities across the teams. You will need to establish the strategy and governance of BIM requirements on behalf of authors, custodians and owners, to enable our projects and clients to meet their various business requirements.
Projects may vary from major design and build commissions to a portfolio of smaller advisory projects. As part of your responsibilities, you will be:
- Providing technical advice to enhance BIM delivery standards and functional capability according to ISO 19650
- Acting as the intermediary between designers, clients and the wider information management team so that projects remain efficient and coordinated within a collaborative framework
- Participate in the production and maintenance of BIM Execution Plans, providing expert input, supporting audits as needed to ensure compliance and/or flag remediate actions
- Producing monthly reports for senior managers, to identify and measure BIM implementation
- Proven asset information delivery experience to support the delivery of compliant, structured, and validated digital information across design, construction, and handover phases
- Lead information management workflows aligned with ISO 19650, ensuring that all digital and asset data supports long term operational needs and integrates with client FM/CAFM systems
- Overseeing the production of project models, documentation, and Asset Information Models (AIMs) that meet Employer’s Information Requirements (EIR), Asset Information Requirements (AIR), and industry best practice. · Supporting career development, coaching and mentoring of a team of staff
- Shape digital project delivery using both our internal and emerging tools to drive continuous improvements
- Regularly connecting with our clients as you seek to develop improved solutions to their challenges
- Working alongside the project management teams providing insights into project information and supporting the ongoing strategic development of project delivery
Candidate specification

Summary:

- Responsible to contribute to excellence in BIM implementation within the account
- Required to build a strong and open network across the account to break down silos and improve knowledge sharing
- Work closely with existing and new projects to elicit information requirements, develop processes and work directly with clients
- Report to the information management board and work closely with other BIM managers and account leaders across the division
We'd also like to you have:
- Minimum HNC
- Confident leading and working as part of a team with strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate with a variety of different audiences to lead project & regional transformation
- Good knowledge of infrastructure projects, particularly within the Railway industry and a general technical ability
- Be open minded, assertive, cooperative, strong sense of team and vision driven
- Hands on and practical insight of the latest BIM, and digital IM processes and tools, with good technical knowledge of a range of software platforms, databases, and tools
- Demonstrable BIM experience
- Experience of the design, construction, and delivery of infrastructure projects
- Experience of managing BIM and digital information element of multi-disciplinary projects (delivery and operation)
- Experience using authoring software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD & Bentley
- Experience using collaboration software like SharePoint (CDE) and Projectwise
- Awareness of using Data visualisation software like Power BI
- Commercial awareness, as well as the capacity to modify strategy and technical needs to meet client/project/practice objectives
- Be driven to pursue continued education in Digital & BIM and connect with wider internal and external industry community
