About the role
The Talent Acquisition Advisor plays a key role in delivering high-quality recruitment services across Mott MacDonald. Working as part of our Talent Acquisition team, you will manage direct applications and support candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience.
This role is primarily focused on progressing candidates through the recruitment lifecycle, maintaining accurate recruitment data, and ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process. You'll work closely with hiring managers, candidates and colleagues across the Talent Acquisition function, helping to attract and secure talent while promoting Mott MacDonald as an employer of choice.
Responsibilities:
- Open and manage requisition requests, ensuring all required information is gathered and processed accurately.
- Manage direct applications efficiently, providing a positive and professional experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Screen applications against agreed criteria and support hiring managers with candidate shortlisting.
- Conduct initial screening conversations with candidates where required.
- Arrange interviews and support all stages of the assessment and selection process.
- Prepare and manage job offers, ensuring a smooth transition from selection through to onboarding.
- Maintain and regularly update our applicant tracking system, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with recruitment processes.
- Monitor recruitment activity and support the reporting of key recruitment metrics.
- Build effective working relationships with hiring managers and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- Ensure recruitment activities are delivered in line with agreed service levels and best practice.
Other duties:
- Support the management of recruitment agency partnerships, ensuring compliance with agreed recruitment processes and standards.
- Create and maintain engaging job adverts that accurately reflect role requirements and our employer brand.
- Ensure recruitment data and candidate records are maintained accurately and in accordance with company policies.
- Support projects and initiatives aimed at improving recruitment processes and enhancing the candidate experience.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the broader Talent Acquisition team, sharing knowledge and supporting team objectives.
- Provide administrative and operational recruitment support across the function as required during periods of increased demand.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities and help identify opportunities to increase efficiency and service quality.
About you
Essential:
- Previous experience within a high-volume recruitment environment.
- Experience delivering an excellent candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple vacancies and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Experience using recruitment systems, applicant tracking systems or HR platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate data.
- A customer-focused approach and commitment to delivering a high-quality service.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing changing priorities.
Desirable:

Experience recruiting within a professional services, engineering, consultancy or corporate environment.

Understanding of recruitment processes, compliance requirements and candidate management.
