Mott MacDonald is offering a unique SkillBridge internship opportunity for transitioning service members interested in marine and structural engineering. This program is designed to provide hands-on experience and professional development in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Design: Assist in the conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of marine and structural projects, including ports, harbors, and coastal infrastructure.
- Site Inspection: Participate in site inspections, investigations, and monitoring activities to ensure project compliance and quality.
- Technical Calculations: Perform design calculations and computations, and assist in the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and studies.
- Project Management: Support project management tasks, including coordination of deliverables, risk assessment, and schedule management.
- Construction Oversight: Monitor and verify construction activities, prepare daily reports, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
- Client Interaction: Maintain and build relationships with clients, participate in proposal preparation, and assist with business development activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Marine Engineering (or related field).
- Experience in engineering or construction management is preferred.
- Strong analytical and technical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
