Mechanical Engineer - Fire Fighting

We are hiring a Mechanical Engineer – Fire Fighting to join our team for an industrial manufacturing project. The role involves overseeing mechanical systems and infrastructure related to fire protection systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and implement fire protection systems including hydrant networks, sprinkler systems, foam systems, and fire suppression systems.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and vendors for system design, procurement, and execution.
• Supervise installation and commissioning of firefighting systems at site.
• Ensure compliance with IS, NFPA, TAC, and other relevant codes and standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and fire safety audits.
• Liaise with statutory authorities for approvals and inspections.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including inspection reports, test certificates, and as-built drawings.
• Support HSE team in fire drills and emergency preparedness planning.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years
• Industry: Industrial Projects
• Qualification: BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong knowledge of fire safety codes (NFPA, IS, OISD, etc.).
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage site teams.
