About the Role 

We are actively seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer in our UAE offices (Dubai or Abu Dhabi). The selected candidate for this position will be expected to work across a wide range of mechanical engineering knowledge areas and have a desired focus area in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning related work.  

  

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below: 

  • Performing design and engineering work in various areas of the mechanical discipline.  The majority of the work will be related to heating, ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC);  

  • Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details associated with mechanical engineering projects. 

  • Developing conceptual designs and cost estimates for early stages of the project life cycle. 

  • Creating design drawings utilizing Revit 3D design software. 

  • Conducting or participating in investigative energy assessments to identify energy and cost savings measures. 

  • Assessing and designing building ventilation systems based on requirements for heat removal in industrial spaces and maintaining indoor air quality. 

  • Conducting spreadsheet analysis to assess the energy and cost savings of proposed energy conservation measures (ECMs) 

  • Utilizing building modeling software (HAP or IES) to determine envelope heat gains/losses and assess savings potentials of ECMs. 

  • Specifying mechanical equipment 

  • Designing plumbing and building utility piping systems 

  • Summarizing engineering results in written reports and/or presentations that are cohesive and of the highest quality.  

  • Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to MMLs Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures. 

 

Candidate Specifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant discipline  

  • Extensive experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems (minimum 5 years) 

  • Licensed professional engineer strongly preferred 

  • Ability to foster a creative engineering environment 

  • Strong communication skills, (both in written and verbal) 

  • Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the mechanical engineering discipline 

  • Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs 

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software preferred
