Ports & Maritime Submarket Lead – North America Region
We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to serve as the Ports & Maritime Submarket Lead. This role will drive strategic growth, technical excellence, and client engagement across the ports & maritime submarket, which includes coastal engineering, port planning and design, marine structures, dredging and reclamation, and climate resilience. The Submarket Lead will be instrumental in shaping the future of coastal infrastructure delivery in North America.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Create and own the Mott MacDonald Ports & Maritime submarket proposition, aligning with regional and global strategies.
- Set clear focus, expectations, and ownership for the submarket, ensuring clarity of purpose and measurable outcomes.
Client Engagement & Growth:
- Identify and cultivate client and industry relationships & opportunities.
- Support, pursue, and win bids to enhance Mott MacDonald’s revenue and market profile.
- Build relationships with Platinum Clients, Client Directors, and Market Executives
Technical Excellence & Delivery:
- Own and improve scope and methodology models for Ports & Maritime assets.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with Regional Discipline Leads, Development Managers, Client Directors, and Excellence Leads to ensure seamless integration and knowledge sharing.
Candidate Specification / Qualifications
- Professionally qualified with 15+ years of relevant experience in coastal and port infrastructure.
- Proven track record in delivering major projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong strategic thinking and business development capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working across regional and global teams is highly desirable.
