Mott MacDonald’s support services are the driving force behind our organisation enabling us to run efficiently and effectively. The team works collaboratively to offer specialist advice, best practice and technology to all areas of our business specifically designed for our global reach.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join our talent acquisition team in Glasgow, Croydon or London on a 6-month contract. In this role, you will support our rapidly growing Water and Environment (WNE) business unit and will take the lead in proactively identifying, engaging, and attracting top talent to support their business during a high-growth period. Responsibilities:

  • Proactively source and engage candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, talent communities, and innovative sourcing channels.
  • Conduct talent mapping and market research to identify emerging talent pools and inform hiring decisions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to lead recruitment kick-off meetings, define role requirements, and align on sourcing strategies.
  • Implement advanced sourcing strategies to connect with top talent.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs, ensuring a continuous flow of talent.
  • Manage the end-to-end candidate experience, from initial contact through to offer acceptance, ensuring the candidate experience aligns with company standards.
  • Deliver strategic insights on talent availability, competitor activity, and market trends to influence recruitment planning.

 

Candidate specification

 

Essential:

  • Demonstrated ability to source candidates within the engineering sector.
  • Experience influencing business stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes. 
  • Proven experience in a talent acquisition or external recruitment role with significant proactive sourcing responsibility and stakeholder interaction.
  • Proficiency in using various sourcing channels, tools like LinkedIn for recruitment insights, and applicant tracking systems.

 

Desirable:

  • Previous experience supporting recruitment in water, environmental, or civil engineering disciplines.
  • Previous experience within relevant markets and sectors.
