Role & Responsibilities 

 

ChiefLegal Representatives 

  • Act as the legal representative of the Permanent Establishment (BUT) in Indonesia, representing the foreign entity in dealings with, but not limited to, regulators, tax authorities, financial institutions, and third parties. 

  • Serve as the official tax representative in the Coretax system, ensuring compliance with applicable tax registration and reporting requirements.  

  • Perform all other duties required of a legal representative, including fulfilling statutory, regulatory, and administrative obligations associated with the role i.e. but not limited to: LKPM, OSS system 

  • Liaise with external stakeholders including, but not limited to, e.g. creditors, government (e.g. BKPM), debtors, banks, tax and legal advisors, where necessary. 

  • Lead a team in overseeing day-to-day operations of the site offices. 

 

Financial Accounting  

  • Review of monthly balance sheet reconciliations 

  • Prepare monthly tax calculations for WHT, VAT and other applicable taxes and submit tax returns ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements  

  • Collaboration with Group Tax team to prepare and submit applicable statutory filing and timely settlement of applicable payments  

  • Handle official tax queries including responses to SP2DK letters and coordination during tax audits and accurate communication with tax authorities 

  • Assist in reviewing and monitoring intercompany accounts to ensure the transactions are valid, reconciled and settled as appropriate with guidance from group Treasury.  

  • Preparation of new vendor setup and raising purchase order  

  • Review weekly accounts payable payment run, review vendor invoices and staff expenses claims  

  • Reviewing and ensuring clients’ invoices are issued on time and following up on clients’ collections  

  • Monitor internal controls as per the Group frameworks and ensure corrective actions are implemented on timely basis 

  • Compliance with local legislation, internal financial controls, and International Financial Reporting Standards 

  • Liaise with external stakeholders e.g. creditors, debtors, banks, tax and legal advisors, where necessary. 

  • Ensure information is processed timeously and accurately to produce financial accounts on a quarterly and annual basis. 

 

Cashflow/Treasury Management  

  • Oversee cash flow management, including disbursements, collections, and the annual cash flow budget.  

 

 

Candidate Specification:  

 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance and other related fields. 

  • 8-10 years’ experience in Financial Accountant roles and proficiency in accounting software.  

  • Good knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.  

  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  

  • Good communication in English, able to communicate with different stakeholders, including senior management and department heads. 

  • Experience in liaison with government authorities and people management is preferred. 
 
  • This position is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension subject to business needs and performance.
