About the business unit
The Energy unit delivers services to clients globally across several sectors including hydropower, nuclear, waste, renewable generation and transmission & distribution networks. Together we provide integrated engineering and project management services across the project lifecycle – from concept and design to construction and operations, to decommissioning or repowering and life extension. Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.
Overview of role
We're currently seeking a Learning Designer / Adviser on a fixed term 1 year contract, to work with our subject matter experts to develop high quality technical training. This is a role that involves both technical skills, to design online content (elearning, recorded sessions, internal news page etc) and general Learning and Development advisory skills. It is an opportunity to contribute to the growth of the division through the development of skills to meet our clients’ needs.
Responsibilities
- Work with technical specialists to design training pathways aligned to technical competencies, and identify and/ or develop training programmes
- Design and create online content, and manage our online presence.
- Plan and monitor the timescales for the delivery of technical pathways and material
- Provide coaching and advice to Subject Matter Experts in developing and delivering training
- Provide advice on training options and processes
- Support the L&D Specialist/Academy Manager in delivering the learning and development agenda for the division, including targeted support for specific employee groups and working with individual disciplines.
- Level of UK travel will be required.
Candidate Specification
Essential
- Experience of learning design and delivery
- Ability to work with complex technical material and develop engaging, professional material
- Experience of developing training material using Articulate
- Experience of developing delivery plans and monitor progress with delivery partners
- Excel in multitasking.
- Able to build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Attention to detail
Desirable:
- Experience of using Adobe Creative Cloud
- Experience of working in a technical or consultancy environment
- Experience of working as a learning partner advising business teams on all aspects of learning & development
Please note that we will consider both full and part time hours for this role.
