Overview of the role

The Healthcare Consulting Services Portfolio of the Health Division provides strategic and operational consultancy advice and support to healthcare clients to improve services outcomes for patients and staff. A key part of this advice centres on having robust data analysis and modelling outputs to provide evidence-based solutions for clients.

We provide support to Department of Health & Social Care, NHS England, New Hospital Programme, NHS clients and work internationally on projects in the Middle East, Canada and Australia.

Support the successful delivery of healthcare infrastructure, estates, digital and transformation projects by providing strategic, analytical and programme management expertise. Contribute to the development of innovative, data-driven and digitally enabled solutions that improve healthcare outcomes, operational efficiency and patient experience across healthcare organisations.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Deliver healthcare consultancy support across NHS programmes, projects and workstreams
  • Supporting clients to assess clinical and estate need, develop strategies and delivery plans and design solutions to transform and improve healthcare services, infrastructure and estates
  • Undertake strategic analysis and research activities to support strategic planning, business cases, service transformation, operational improvement and healthcare investment decisions
  • Engage with clinical, operational, estates and executive stakeholders to understand and clearly articulate requirements, facilitate workshops and engagement sessions and develop practical solutions
  • Analyse qualitative and quantitative information to develop a baseline for assessment, identify trends, risks, opportunities and produce evidence-based recommendations
  • Develop reports, presentations, business cases (short form, SOC, OBC.FBC) and other client deliverables to a high professional standard
  • Support the planning, management and delivery of programmes and projects, including governance, risk management, action tracking, stakeholder engagement and change control
  • Contribute to the development and authoring of healthcare strategies, operating models, service plans and transformation roadmaps
  • Support organisations in adopting digital, data and technology-enabled solutions that improve patient, staff and operational outcomes
  • Apply data-driven approaches to inform decision-making, performance improvement and service transformation initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, contributing to business development, bid preparation and the growth of the portfolio

Candidate specification

  • Experience of working within healthcare environments, ideally supporting NHS or public sector healthcare clients on estates, infrastructure, service transformation or operational improvement programmes
  • Knowledge of primary care estates, including the planning, utilisation, condition, compliance and development of community, primary care and neighbourhood health facilities
  • Experience contributing to the development of healthcare business cases, including strategic case narrative, options appraisal, benefits, risks, affordability, deliverability and value for money considerations
  • Ability to research, analyse and synthesise clinical, operational, estate and financial information to inform robust recommendations and investment decisions
  • Experience supporting or authoring estate strategies, service strategies, delivery plans, transformation roadmaps or programme-level reports for healthcare organisations
  • Understanding of healthcare policy, planning guidance and estate requirements, with the ability to translate these into clear, practical and client-focused outputs
  • Strong written communication skills, with evidence of producing high-quality reports, presentations and bid or client deliverables for senior stakeholders

UK Immigration

Mott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK.
