The BIM Manager is responsible for leading the coordination and delivery of BIM and digital engineering activities across infrastructure projects, spanning both design and construction stages. The role ensures that multi-disciplinary models, data, and associated deliverables are aligned to defined project requirements, structured information references, and governance frameworks.

Operating within established delivery models and project standards, the role focuses on enabling effective coordination across design and construction teams. The role supports the application of defined information requirements as a baseline, translating them into coordinated outputs that align with project scope, stage, and governance, and are updated as required through delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary BIM coordination across civil, water, power, and utilities disciplines through both design and construction stages
  • Manage federated models and coordination workflows, including clash detection, issue tracking, and resolution across teams
  • Ensure alignment between design development, construction sequencing, and delivery outputs across all project stages
  • Support design-stage coordination, ensuring integration of disciplines and alignment with defined requirements and standards
  • Support construction-stage delivery, including:
    • Construction sequencing and phasing coordination
    • Design integration with site conditions and contractor inputs
    • Tracking and resolution of RFIs, design changes, and field issues
  • Review and interpret structured project references (e.g., information requirements, governance pages, project notebooks) and ensure outputs align with defined scope and expectations
  • Apply defined information requirements as the baseline and support their practical implementation and update where required through project delivery
  • Coordinate with information management and delivery teams to ensure consistency between models, data, and documentation
  • Ensure outputs align with governance structures, roles, and responsibilities defined within the project (RACI)
  • Contribute to consistent and repeatable delivery practices across projects

Candidate Specification:

  • 10+ years of experience delivering BIM and coordination on complex infrastructure projects, particularly within civil, water, or power sectors
  • Strong experience across both design and construction-stage coordination, working with design teams and contractors
  • Proven capability managing multi-disciplinary coordination across integrated project environments
  • Experience working within structured information management frameworks and defined delivery requirements
  • Autodesk AEC(architecture engineering construction) toolset for design authoring, coordination, and model federation
  • Cloud collaboration platforms for model review, clash detection, and issue management
  • Some Bentley engineering platforms knowledge for discipline-specific coordination
  • Ability to interpret project documentation and align outputs to scope, stage, and governance expectations
  • Proficient in BIM and digital engineering coordination workflows
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
