We are seeking a Program Delivery Team (PDT) Deputy Lead to serve as a major PMO Leader. This role is central to the successful delivery of a high-profile, multi-stakeholder program of national and international significance. The PDT Deputy Lead will be jointly responsible for designing, implementing, and operationalizing the PDT operating model, ensuring seamless integration across all program workstreams, and establishing the PDT as the central coordination and reporting function for the program Executive Team. 

This is a senior leadership position requiring a unique blend of strategic vision, PMO expertise, organizational design, and stakeholder management. The successful candidate will be a proven leader with experience in mega-program delivery, capable of driving performance, ensuring accountability, and embedding best practices across a diverse, multi-organizational team. 

 

Job Duties: 

  • Design and implement the PDT operating model framework, including organizational structure, reporting lines, and integration with all program workstreams. 

  • Define communication protocols, escalation pathways, and service-level expectations. 

  • Develop and implement an Engagement Model defining interaction between PDT, client Project Managers, and external stakeholders. 

  • Define the PDT staffing plan, onboarding protocols, and subconsultant engagement strategy. 

  • Deliver training, onboarding, and accreditation sessions to standardize program management practices across teams. 

  • Develop and maintain the Program Management Plan covering schedule, risk management, resource planning, and commercial oversight. 

  • Provide daily oversight and support to the PDT, ensuring integration across all program workstreams. 

  • Facilitate regular PDT coordination meetings and lead monthly performance reviews. 

  • Maintain dashboards, KPI metrics, and expenditure tracking for presentation to the Exec team. 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the program Directors on all PDT matters. 

Candidate Qualifications:   

  • B.Sc. Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering, and/ or hold a Business Management post graduate qualification 

  • 15+ years’ experience in engineering and project management and execution 

  • Experience in planning, design and management of major projects 

  • Strong background in PMO leadership, including governance frameworks, reporting structures, and performance management. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project portfolios. 

  • Initiative-taker with the ability to lead and manage people and projects  

  • Have an in-depth understanding of public and private utility budgeting and accounting 

  • Strong experience in developing and delivering PMO solutions 

  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

The expected salary for this position is $200,000 - $250,000

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
