We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer to support and lead design engineering efforts across a diverse range of infrastructure projects, including rail and vehicular tunnels, water/wastewater facilities, building systems, and communications. This role involves developing control system plans, performing field inspections, preparing design documentation, and overseeing construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in electrical or controls engineering, hands-on experience with control systems, and a collaborative mindset to work across multidisciplinary teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead or support design engineering for infrastructure projects in the U.S. and Canada.
- Develop control system plans and understand basic P&ID process drawings.
- Prepare bills of materials and construction cost estimates.
- Create and review design drawings using AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and Autodesk REVIT.
- Conduct field inspections and site surveys for electrical, instrumentation, control, and communication systems.
- Prepare detailed inspection and assessment reports.
- Oversee control system construction projects and assist with field startups.
- Review and coordinate shop drawings related to control system construction.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, and architectural disciplines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering (or closely related field such as Industrial/Systems, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering).
- 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Controls or Communications Engineer.
- Registered PE License in Control Systems preferred; EIT candidates committed to licensure will be considered.
- Proficiency in:
- PLC and SCADA design
- Radio and cellular-based telemetry systems
- Instrumentation selection and specification
- Control system sequence of operations and ladder/relay diagrams
- Communications and computer networking (networking certification preferred)
- Programming PLCs, SCADA systems, and relational databases (preferred)
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to write engineering reports and specifications.
- Comfortable making presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- Experience with Autodesk software (AutoCAD 3D, REVIT, Navisworks), Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools (MS Teams).
- Skilled in performing site surveys and inspections, including electrical measurements and data logging.

The expected salary for this position is $83K - $102K.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
