Job Title: Senior Tax Analyst
Location: Mumbai

 

The individual will be a part of the Centre of Excellence based in Mumbai and assist with the tax accounting and reporting for the APNA and ISMA region in support of the Group’s external reporting requirements. They will also support the review of tax with external auditors and ensure corporation tax compliance with support of regional finance teams.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:


•    Assist with the delivery of quarterly and full year tax reporting for their region, working with the local finance teams for delivering reporting obligations to Group Tax
•    Support local finance teams in the production of the annual tax reporting for standalone financial statements.

•    Support the tax compliance for their region, working with the Regional Tax Manager to ensure robust and timely compliance.

•    Training and support of local finance teams to ensure that tax accounting is standardised across their region and meets the requirements set by the Group Tax Department.

•    Monitor of withholding tax accounting processes across the region.

•    Ongoing monitoring of certain key risk areas alongside local finance teams to ensure that the group can meet its reporting obligations under BEPS Pillar 2.0, including training local teams on required changes with the support of the Regional Tax Compliance & Reporting Manager.

•    Maintain the corporate tax process and control environment.

•    Manage tax accounting aspects of current and future accounting or operational changes in their region relevant to the group

•    Contribute to the continued improvement of the group’s tax processes and support future tax technology projects related to tax accounting, reporting and tax compliance.

•    Support Regional Tax Manager with local projects on an ad-hoc basis.

 

Requirement:


•    Accounting and/ or tax qualified
•    Fluent in English

•    Strong background in tax accounting and reporting and in leading compliance processes (3-4 years)

•    Experience in Onesource implementation is an advantage
•    Experience with implementing tax accounting or tax compliance technology solutions an advantage
•    In-house experience an advantage

•    Strong project management, organizational and communication skills
•    Process improvement mindset
