We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil with a strong background delivering municipal and/or state-funded infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a proven project manager who can lead complex civil projects from planning through delivery, while managing clients, budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Project Manager for municipal and/or state civil infrastructure projects, overseeing scope, schedule, budget, and quality
- Lead project delivery for transportation, roadway, drainage, utilities, water/wastewater, or similar public-sector projects
- Act as the primary point of contact for municipal, county, and state agency clients
- Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, designers, and subconsultants
- Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts, and change management
- Ensure compliance with applicable state, municipal, and regulatory requirements
- Support proposal development, scope development, and fee negotiations
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development and best practices
- Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with company standards, client expectations, and contractual obligations
We invite applications from candidates with the following experience:
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant civil engineering experience
- At least 2 years of prior experience serving as a Project Manager
- Demonstrated experience delivering municipal and/or state-funded infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of public-sector project delivery processes, permitting, and regulatory requirements
- Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain
- Experience working directly with DOTs, counties, municipalities, or state agencies
- Familiarity with alternative delivery methods (e.g., design-build, CMAR)
- Experience supporting business development or proposal efforts
