Are you an experienced marketing manager who loves creating content with purpose? At an exciting time of business growth and brand ambition, we are looking for an experienced marketing professional to be responsible for shaping and leading external marketing aligned to the region’s strategic priorities, as well as producing and overseeing the production of ‘business as usual’ outputs. The role involves close collaboration with other members of the regional and global marketing team, business development leads, and experts across North America. 

 

You will be responsible for 

  • Understanding business priorities and marketing objectives, and working with our senior leaders on the team to identify storytelling opportunities and determine and shape the right marketing and communication activities to drive growth 

  • Developing high-impact, audience-centric content for predominantly digital consumption that will positively promote our brand, including website page updates, thought leadership, leadership bios, infographics, sales material, and more  

  • Lead and manage our award submission process, working with key stakeholders to submit for awards, track wins, and promote them accordingly 

  • Manage a calendar of industry publication advertisements and work cross-functionally with relevant stakeholders and our designers to produce impactful ads  

  • Work closely with our Event Lead to produce content for event signage, sponsorship materials, and email campaigns  

  • Develop an email marketing strategy 

  • Support thought leadership initiatives/content across our key markets  

  • Support social media initiatives as needed and paid social media campaigns, including content creation, campaign set up, monitoring and reporting 

  • Mentor team members and approve their work as necessary  

 

Qualifications  

  • You have a marketing, communication, PR or related degree and 8+ years’ experience in a senior marketing role within a B2B marketing environment, preferably from a technical or consulting organization 

  • You are an experienced marketing professional with exceptional content writing skills – a natural storyteller, intellectually curious and quickly able to identify key messages and work with senior stakeholders to produce content  

  • You have experience developing and reporting on successful email marketing campaigns 

  • You understand key SEO concepts and have experience using tools like Semrush to improve content performance and optimize visibility  

  • You have experience using Canva or related design tools, and can guide creative projects to completion  

  • You are familiar with working in matrix organizations  

  • You’re a strong collaborator with experience in forming positive trusted relationships, but can thrive independently 

  • You’re a confident proactive communicator able to ask insightful questions to help colleagues shape their thinking, and can provide review and critique 

  • You’re driven and well-organized, with experience in managing and progressing multiple projects with competing deadlines 

  • You are ideally familiar with Optimizely products, including Optimizely CMS, Optimizely CMP, and Optimizely Campaign, but not required 

  • You ideally understand civil engineering clients and projects, but we are accepting applicants with outside industry experience

At Mott MacDonald, we provide a comprehensive benefit package that includes 401k, medical, dental and vision insurance, short-term/long-term disability, paid holidays, PTO, parental leave and company paid life insurance. 

The expected salary for this position is $100,000 - $140,000. Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
