This position requires a self-motivated individual who can operate in a fast-paced & continually evolving context. As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in guiding, monitoring, and leading an entire group within the context of application delivery.

 

You are willing to learn new IT & business skills and experiences. Speedy and intelligent resolution of IT issues is the key to ensuring that Mott MacDonald can deliver on its promises to its clients.

 

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • An understanding of Enterprise Microsoft Applications, including their architecture, modules, and functionalities.
  • Ability to collaborate with Microsoft and other vendors for support, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Creating an Inspiring Team Environment - Foster an open communication culture within the team and set clear team goals to align everyone toward a common purpose.
  • Delegating Tasks and Setting Deadlines- Assign tasks to team members based on their strengths and expertise and Ensure deadlines are met effectively.
  • Overseeing Day-to-Day Operations - Monitor team performance and report on relevant metrics and address any operational challenges promptly.
  • Motivating Team Members - Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments and encourage creativity and risk-taking.
  • Providing Coaching and Resolving Issues - Discover training needs and offer coaching to enhance team skills and listen to team members' feedback and address any conflicts.
  • Leading by Example - Set a positive example for the team and engage the team to achieve collective goals.
  • Work with Internal teams and vendors to deliver new IT applications into the Mott MacDonald environment.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Microsoft Applications team, the IT Operations centre and Product teams to gather and analyse requirements for new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Establish support requirements for new systems, ensuring they are transitioned effectively into operational support.
  • Become the key IT contact for the functional teams involved in delivering changes to Microsoft Applications
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including deployment guides, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Use technical expertise to help support teams resolve escalated and complex issues.
  • Support operational teams in achieving relevant service level and operational level targets for incident management and request fulfilment and proactively escalates potential service level breaches to the Microsoft Applications IT manager.
  • Support team on identification and resolution of Problems impacting system use.
  • Propose changes required to improve the system in response to Incidents, Problems, and proactive review.


Essential:

  • Knowledge and experience of providing IT support and expertise across enterprise-wide systems.
  • Understanding of IT Change control processes and able to deliver change safely into the IT environment.
  • Good understanding of end-to-end delivery processes / methodologies and standards aligning with industry best practice.
  • Effective communication skills to be able to report on progress and answer technical questions from vendors, business partners & IT colleagues.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels with both internal and external parties.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a production environment.

 

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • ITIL V3/V4 foundation certification.
  • Microsoft Certification(s).
  • In-depth knowledge of performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Decision-making skills.
