Job Description

We are seeking a delivery-focused Senior Maritime Civil & Structural Engineer to assist with leading the design and technical delivery of maritime infrastructure projects, combining strong engineering fundamentals with the practical judgement needed to produce safe, buildable and efficient solutions.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, assessment, design and delivery of maritime infrastructure projects across Scotland and the UK. Typical projects include ferry terminals, piers, jetties, quay structures, dolphins, linkspan support structures, slipways, seawalls and associated landside infrastructure such as pavements, drainage and utilities.

The role offers involvement across the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies, optioneering and outline design through to detailed design, construction support and asset management. Projects range from the maintenance, rehabilitation and upgrade of existing assets through to major capital investment programmes.

We are seeking a delivery-focused engineer who combines strong technical skills with the ability to efficiently produce practical, high-quality engineering outputs. The successful candidate will combine strong technical capability with sound engineering judgement, developing solutions that are safe, buildable, maintainable and commercially aware.

Working within a specialist maritime team, the role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues and responsibility for leading engineers and technicians in the delivery of project outcomes. Our maritime team operates with the agility and flexibility of a specialist consultancy within a larger organisation, supporting a diverse portfolio of maritime and coastal infrastructure projects.

Success in this role will be measured through the delivery of high-quality technical outputs, effective leadership of engineers and technicians, and the ability to develop practical solutions that meet client, operational and project requirements.
