Your Opportunity 

Due to strong growth and an exciting pipeline of projects, We are seeking a Technical Director Mining & Resources to support our strategy and enhance our technical expertise and reputation in the sector. This will play a pivotal role in the technical oversight of multidisciplinary engineering teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design, projects and studies.  


This role will also support client engagement initiatives, leveraging their extensive client-side experience, expertise and established networks.  By filling this role, we aim to strengthen our technical leadership and enhance our ability to deliver exceptional results in the mining and resources sector.

 

You will have the opportunity to contribute and making an impact in the below functions: 

 

  • Leading and mentoring engineering teams to achieve resource sector project objectives.
  • Oversee the technical aspects of project design and implementation.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between teams and clients.
  • Supporting business development efforts through technical expertise and client interactions.

 

Strategy:


•    Contribute to the development and execution of the Mining & Resources market strategy.
•    Support business development initiatives and cultivate strong client relationships in WA.
•    Support the market strategy through business development to identify and secure new opportunities within the mining and resources sector.

 

Client Relationship Management:


•    Engage with clients to understand their technical needs and provide tailored engineering solutions.
•    Support the development and implementation of strategic plans for the Mining & Resources Market.

 

Project Delivery:


•    Oversee multidisciplinary project teams to ensure the successful delivery of studies and projects.   
•    Lead the delivery of projects and studies, ensuring they meet technical, quality, budget, and timeline requirements.
•    Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
•    Stay updated with industry trends and advancements to drive innovation within the market.

 

About You 

  • An inclusive leadership style
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil, Mechanical, or related field).Master's degree or MBA is preferred but not mandatory.
  • 15+ years of experience in the mining and resources sector.
  • Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Extensive client-side experience with a strong understanding of client needs and project delivery.
  • Experience in project management and technical oversight of large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholder relationships and drive client engagement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools.
  • Ability to strategically plan and execute projects to meet business objectives.
