About the role
As Mott MacDonald continues to expand in Saudi Arabia, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function for our KSA division. This is a pivotal role, responsible for driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and enabling long-term growth in line with the Division’s business plan.
The Division forms part of a £75 million GBP business operating across eight trading entities in the Middle East, offering you the opportunity to work within a dynamic, multicultural environment and influence strategic decisions at a regional level.
You will provide high-quality financial insights and analysis to support decision-making, ensure adherence to local and global regulations, and champion best practices in financial management.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Partnering with the Country Manager to manage day-to-day operations and drive performance across the Division.
- Leading the financial aspects of the Division’s strategy and ensuring KPIs are met or exceeded.
- Managing statutory entities and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Driving the annual business planning cycle, including budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Producing monthly financial reports and identifying actions to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
- Overseeing credit management performance and working capital optimization.
- Reviewing service costs and ensuring value for money across all budgets.
- Exploring opportunities for automation and digital transformation within finance processes.
- Coordinating financial due diligence and integration for acquisitions.
- Leading and mentoring the finance team, fostering talent development and succession planning.
Candidate specifications
- Chartered financial qualification and a strong business improvement mindset.
- Advanced financial and accounting expertise, with working knowledge of cross-border trading, statutory compliance, and tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret financial indicators to drive business decisions.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building trusted partnerships with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead and develop dispersed teams, creating an inclusive and collaborative culture.
- Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to work independently while maintaining accountability.
