About the Role

Join our dynamic Land Development team and play a key role in delivering complex infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. We’re looking for a Senior Principal Dry Utilities to lead the technical delivery of electrical, telecommunications, and street lighting systems for large-scale master planning and land development initiatives.

 

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

 

  • Lead the design and documentation of dry utility systems including electrical, telecom, and street lighting.
  • Manage electrical load calculations, LV schedules, voltage drop and cable de-rating calculations.
  • Design HV, MV, and LV networks, including single-line diagrams and layout plans.
  • Develop telecom infrastructure designs and GSM coverage layouts.
  • Design street lighting networks, including tunnel and underpass lighting.
  • Ensure BIM integration (e.g., Civil 3D) in project delivery.
  • Oversee quality and timely delivery of dry utility components across multiple projects.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards and contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Engage with clients, developers, and stakeholders to secure approvals and present proposals.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in design and delivery processes.

 

Candidate specifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant degree; Chartered Engineer status (CEng or equivalent) preferred.
  • 15+ years of post-graduate experience, ideally in a design consultancy.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Expertise in dry utility design across the full project lifecycle.
  • Proven experience in infrastructure projects within Saudi Arabia.
  • Deep understanding of local authority standards and approval processes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on innovation.
  • Willingness to travel for short-term assignments. #LI-SA2
