Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
- Treatment Practice Leadership (includes the practices for water/wastewater treatment, and SWRO desalination): The practice leader is required to keep up to date with the latest technological developments; aligning domain knowledge with client’s needs; networking with the global practice leader and the practice leader for other regions; and providing technical support to Account Leaders, Bid Managers, and project teams.
- Technical Delivery: Leading and delivering through support teams on water infrastructure projects in ISMA, and globally as required. Managing delivery teams in advisory, design, site investigations.
- Resource Management: Supports water team leader and sector leaders in recruitment and make recommendations with respect to rationalisations. Supports with providing bid and project teams to account leaders, including: the appropriate use of the global delivery service; managing people utilisation; planning and managing skills and capability development; making specialty resources regionally/globally available as needed.
- Client Engagement: Support Account Leaders in engaging with Clients from decision to capture through to bid submission and delivery.
- Bid Management: Responsible for bid management/submission including assembling bid management team, undertaking financial modelling, evaluating project risk, engaging legal and commercial teams, engaging experts from global resource pool, preparing bid presentations to higher management for approval.
- Business Development: Create business development opportunities in the Utilities Service delivery, assisting with the development of BD strategy for MME.
- Project Management: Project delivery, commercial delivery to scope and budget, compliance to STEP, management of change and variation orders, working with resource managers, account leaders and sector leaders to ensure successful project delivery.
Candidate specifications
- Expert in field of water/wastewater treatment with extensive experience leading projects throughout the project lifecycle including feasibility studies, concept to detailed design, construction supervision and preferably operation / optimisation / commissioning.
- National and/or international reputation in water/wastewater treatment sector specifically including desalination projects.
- Specialist knowledge of advanced water/wastewater treatment technologies and trends in this sector.
- Proven experience developing innovative and sustainable options for clients including consideration of emerging technologies and energy/process efficiency.
- Adept at leading technical deliverables including; process studies, design calculations, simulation modelling, plant audits/optimization, mass balances sizing, chemical/biochemical modelling, investigations, options assessments and value engineering services, design reports and drawings, cost estimates, tender documentation and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated design management experience.
- Proven ability to market engineering services to clients and lead strategic bids.
- Proven experience in providing ‘fit for purpose’ and successful solutions to clients.
- Drive knowledge sharing initiatives with other team members across MME and globally.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, experience in building effective business relationships.
- Proven ability liaising confidently with both new and existing Clients to develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships.
- Flexibility to travel across the MME region. #LI-SA2
