Structural Engineer

About the role
Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:
- Undertake structural analysis and design of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and foundation systems.
- Prepare structural calculations, analysis models, technical notes, reports, specifications and other design deliverables.
- Support the development of structural schemes from concept through detailed design stages.
- Apply Saudi Building Code requirements and relevant international standards, including ACI, AISC, ASCE and IBC.
- Evaluate structural actions including gravity, wind, seismic, temperature and settlement effects.
- Coordinate structural design information with architectural, civil, geotechnical, MEP, façade, BIM and specialist disciplines.
- Collaborate with BIM teams and technicians to develop coordinated structural drawings and models.
- Assist with the review of shop drawings, material submissions, contractor proposals and technical queries.
- Participate in design reviews, coordination meetings, technical workshops and constructability discussions.
- Support continuous improvement and digital ways of working, sharing knowledge and lessons learned.

Candidate specification
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.
- Proven years of relevant post-graduate experience in structural design.
- Experience in the analysis and design of building structures in reinforced concrete and structural steel.
- Experience supporting projects through concept, schematic and detailed-design stages.
- Working knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant international standards, including ACI, AISC, ASCE and IBC.
- Competence in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, Robot Structural Analysis, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, RAM, Tekla Structural Designer or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Revit, BIM coordination processes and digital collaboration platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage assigned tasks and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or the wider GCC region.
- Experience within an international multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
- Exposure to construction-stage technical support and site inspections.
- Experience working on medium- or large-scale commercial, residential, hospitality, aviation, sports or mixed-use developments.
- Arabic-language capability.
