As part of a Joint Venture team supporting a large Transportation Authority, we are seeking a Design Integration Engineer - Underground Stations to help deliver one of the largest and most significant transit infrastructure projects in the United States.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team on a complex underground transit program, coordinating design interfaces across multiple engineering disciplines to support successful project delivery.
The opportunity
As a Design Integration Engineer, you will support the development and implementation of design integration activities across underground station design packages. Reporting to the Design Integration Manager, you will play a key role in facilitating coordination between engineering disciplines, managing interfaces, and supporting the delivery of integrated design solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of design and systems integration processes across project design activities.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, including MEP, systems, civil, and structural disciplines for underground station design.
- Lead design coordination meetings and facilitate the resolution of complex technical interfaces.
- Support the Design Integration Manager and Station Design Lead with day-to-day design integration and coordination activities.
- Coordinate the development and use of 2D and 3D BIM models to support design reviews, clash detection, and issue resolution.
- Support management of internal, external, third-party, inter-contract, and intra-contract interfaces.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and interface registers.
- Evaluate and provide recommendations to support interface and integration decisions while considering broader program objectives and project requirements.
- Foster collaboration across teams to promote effective communication, risk mitigation, and successful project delivery.

Candidate Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in MEP, systems engineering, communications systems, systems integration, or a related field.
- Experience supporting multidisciplinary design integration on large-scale infrastructure or rail transit projects.
- Proficiency with Revit and BIM-based coordination processes.
- Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination and interface management.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships across diverse project teams and stakeholders.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred experience
- Experience on major rail, transit, transportation, or tunnel projects.
- Familiarity with complex underground station design and delivery.
- Experience developing Interface Control Documents and managing technical interfaces throughout the design lifecycle.
- Knowledge of BIM coordination and clash detection workflows.

Benefits & Rewards
The expected salary for this position is $96,000 - $118,000.
Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
