Discipline:  Water
Job Ref:  11966
Recruiter Contact:  dave.morrison@jnbentley.co.uk

As a Digital Lead, you will be helping accelerate our digital transformation across the MMB and JNB businesses by supporting our operation units embed various digital processes and technology.  You will be accountable for the performance of digital delivery in the unit, being measured on both adoption and business-impact targets.

You will work at the cutting edge of digital delivery in a design and construction business.  Whether it’s coaching teams how to use mobile applications to improve quality on site or ensuring design teams produce construction-ready BIM models, you will have access to the latest hardware and software to bring the best of digital to our teams.

You will be accessible and visible as an expert resource for our operational teams.  This could involve visiting live construction sites and supporting site teams use a particular technology, working on bid preparation, or analysing business processes and making proposals for digital optimisation.

You will help support our clients in their digital transformation; by understanding their needs and ensuring our projects and business improvement and innovation initiatives are aligned with the outcomes they are seeking.

Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who wants to expand the application of digital delivery and enjoys convincing and cajoling others to do so.  You will have experience of delivering projects using digital technology but may also have a specialism, skills or passion such as BIM, GIS, digital construction, data analytics, automation or other aspect of digital.  These skills may be utilised across the region, not just in the unit you support.

Other desirable knowledge would be:

  • Knowledge of the project technology landscape in digital construction, including key providers and platforms, together with in-depth expertise of a particular software or platforms.
  • Familiarity with contemporary digital trends, and ability to horizon-scan, translating abstract digital futures into real-world business threats and opportunities.
  • Ability to engage others with the use of digital technology in business delivery across diverse groups of individuals; from Lead Hands on construction sites to Directors who may be sponsoring improvement initiatives.
