Mott MacDonald Singapore is seeking for an experienced SO Rep (Superintending Officer Representative) for an aviation project in Singapore. The SO Rep will act as the primary liaison between the Superintending Officer (SO) and the project team. The SOR is responsible for ensuring that all project activities are executed in accordance with the contract specifications, quality standards, design, and timelines. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage and oversee construction projects, especially on a large scale. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Project Oversight: Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure they comply with approved design, construction methodology, and safety. 
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that construction and site quality meets and exceeds standards. 
  • Coordination: Facilitate communication between the Superintending Officer, construction site, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, architects and other stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project and construction progress, including daily reports, inspection logs, and correspondence.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
  • Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Singapore regulations, codes, and industry best practices.
  • Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Superintending Officer on project status, including any potential risks or delays.

 

About you:

  • Minimum fifteen (15) years working experience in civil infrastructure or building development or airfield or similar works as an Engineer/ Project Manager in construction contract administration for works of similar nature.
  • Possess an Engineering degree recognized by Professional Engineers Board of Singapore. 
  • Completed at least a project of similar nature as a S.O Rep or equivalent using PSSCOC or equivalent.
  • Experienced and conversant with statutory code, PSSCOC or equivalent, contract administration management of claims and Extension of Time, progress reporting, requirements for site management and supervision, project execution plan and quality control procedures.
