The opportunity:


Due to an ever-growing portfolio of projects, we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Electrical Engineer to contribute to the success of our growing Energy team in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to be actively involved in an innovative and highly motivated team of professionals and be instrumental in delivering landmark projects within NSW and across Australia. With an increasing and diverse portfolio of work, we need someone who has a proven record in this field, and who has a pro-active and enthusiastic approach with a drive to succeed and help develop the team.

The key responsibilities include:


•    Focus on electrical engineering design, modelling and practical experience working across multiple disciplines
•    Apply high level conceptual, planning, analytical and problem-solving skills in the development of electrical design solutions
•    Communicate ideas and project issues effectively to the project team and develop a detailed understanding of projects to support project deliverables including design assessments, specifications, drawings and reports
•    Identify safety risks through contemporary Safety in Design methods, ensuring legislative compliance.
•    Develop, maintain and apply a working knowledge of relevant regulatory, engineering legislation, codes of practice and standards associated with electrical engineering design
•    Collaborate with clients and all areas of the business to enhance project outcomes.
•    Inspire and mentor professionals and graduates to support team growth and upskilling.

 

About You


•    A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
•    Design experience and strong understanding of electrical engineering
•    In-depth knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and industry guidelines.
•    Experience in the technical delivery of multi-disciplinary projects 
•    Flexibility to work on a broad range of projects supporting earthing and bonding designs
•    Experience preparing design and assessment reports
•    Strong oral and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
