Your Opportunity
Due to exciting upcoming projects, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior BIM Modeller to be part of our Buildings services team in Sydney. You will be joining a diverse team of people who are passionate about what they do, with a proven track record of guiding our projects and clients, and leading the delivery across large reputed infrastructure projects.
You will:
- Planning and conducting work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Devising new approaches to problems encountered.
- Applying sufficient professional experience to assure competence as a fully trained worker.
- Performing non-routine and complex assignments involving coordination in the planning and conducting of a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project.
- Coordinating portions of overall assignment; reviews and integrating the work of other digital designers.
- Outlining objectives, requirements, and design approaches; completed work is reviewed for technical adequacy and satisfaction of requirements. May be assisted by lower-level staff.
- Being fully competent in using digital design tools and developing engineering and design models using Autodesk Revit and other modelling software tools independently.
- Fully understanding of working on the budget and timeline
- Presenting digital design delivery to the clients.
- Supporting the engineering team as required in coordination with the external project team for clash detection and similar independently.
- Managing multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Mentoring other digital designers, understanding others’ problems and questions and working side-by-side with team members.
- Communicating complex digital design technical issues to the team, management, and clients.
- Innovative and Creative skills in using and promoting digital design and parametric modelling.
About you
Desirable Experience and qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and overview of Mott MacDonald Revit Libraries and how they can be utilised in project delivery, provide guidance to junior team members, and make improvements to libraries to share with team.
- Extensive understanding of Revit Families, be able to create moderate level parametrically driven families, and implement the use of shared parameters from family environment to project environment.
- Demonstrate an extensive understanding of drafting standards and presentation of drawings with little to no guidance from Senior team members. Begin providing guidance to junior level team members to further develop their skill base.
- Developing sound understanding of Cloud based collaboration on BIM360.
