As our portfolio of projects continues to grow, we are seeking a Principal Civil Engineer to champion technical excellence, support the growth of a high-performing team, and play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering complex infrastructure solutions. As a Principal Civil Engineer, you would be accountable for the below: 

  • Provide technical leadership in the delivery and design management of  infrastructure projects and major infrastructure programs, ensuring alignment with client expectations, regulatory standards, and best practices.

  • Engage as part of large multidisciplinary teams and review design documents for consistency and coordination.

  • Deliver packages of work as Engineer-of-Record with the assistance of other technical and production staff.

  • Provide oversight and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff undertaking technical design work.

  • Assist in the proposal process as required.

  • Engage with clients and stakeholders in the ongoing development of major program

 

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering;

  • Registered Professional Engineer registered with the PEO;

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project delivery in infrastructure sectors such astransportation, transit, conveyance, municipal, and highway;

  • Experience mentoring and coaching junior and intermediate engineers.

  • Strong written and communication skills;

  • Confident and positive attitude;

  • Ability to build and harbour good working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients;

  • Experience with software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation Inroads is ideal but not essential

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.

 

 

The expected salary range for this position is from $160,000 - $200,000.
