Our Toronto office is looking for a Senior Information Management/BIM Manager to support the growth and maturity of our Information Management and Digital Delivery capability across Canada. This role is focused on strategy, governance, assurance, technical SME support, and capability uplift across projects and pursuits.

The role is intentionally distinct from a project BIM model production role. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, standards, review, advisory input, and project enablement, while avoiding day-to-day model authoring, drawing production, or direct management of BIM/CAD production workloads.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of Information Management and Digital Delivery strategy for transportation and infrastructure projects across Canada and North America.

  • Provide BIM Manager and Information Manager SME support to bids, project start-up, delivery governance, reviews, audits, and client-facing technical discussions.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve information management standards, templates, procedures, guidance notes, and assurance methods aligned with ISO 19650 and Mott MacDonald delivery requirements.

  • Advise on and review project information requirements and management documentation, including EIRs, AIRs, BIM Execution Plans, Information Management Plans, MIDPs, TIDPs, CDE workflows, naming conventions, status codes, suitability codes, and information exchange requirements.

  • Support Common Data Environment governance, including Autodesk Construction Cloud and related digital delivery platforms, with a focus on workflow quality, information control, permissions, transmittals, review cycles, metadata, and auditability.

  • Provide technical review and practical guidance on model-based delivery, model federation, model review, data validation, GIS integration, asset information, and structured project information deliverables.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, analytics, dashboarding, AI-enabled workflow support, and structured data improvement where these enhance quality, consistency, productivity, or client outcomes.

  • Work with project managers, engineering leads, BIM/CAD leads, GIS specialists, document control, and Information Management resources to define project-specific digital delivery requirements without becoming the production lead.

  • Support capability development by mentoring project BIM, CAD, GIS, document control, and Information Management contributors on standards, workflows, governance, and quality expectations.

  • Support business development activities by providing technical input to proposals, interviews, client presentations, delivery strategies, and digital delivery responses.

  • Contribute to the growth of a high-performing Canada Information Management and Digital Delivery team, including repeatable ways of working, knowledge sharing, and consistent delivery governance across projects.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and capabilities

  • 10-15+ years of experience in BIM, Information Management, digital delivery, or related infrastructure delivery roles, preferably across transportation, aviation, rail/transit, road, port, or large multidisciplinary programs.

  • Strong understanding of BIM Manager and Information Manager responsibilities, with the ability to distinguish strategic governance, assurance, and SME support from production modelling and drawing delivery.

  • Practical knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and related information management documentation, including EIRs, AIRs, BIM Execution Plans, Information Management Plans, MIDPs, TIDPs, responsibility matrices, information delivery milestones, and CDE workflows.

  • Experience developing or improving BIM, CAD, GIS, document control, and information management standards, procedures, templates, delivery guidance, and assurance approaches.

  • Technical credibility with Autodesk and digital delivery platforms, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and related model review / information management workflows. Hands-on production capability is useful, but this is not a production modelling role.

  • Experience supporting project teams with model federation, model review, clash / issue management, structured data, asset information, GIS integration, and information exchange requirements.

  • Familiarity with automation, data analytics, reporting, dashboarding, AI-supported workflows, and digital productivity improvements that can be applied responsibly to project delivery.

  • Strong advisory, facilitation, and leadership capability, including the ability to guide multidisciplinary project teams, challenge delivery approaches constructively, and influence senior project stakeholders.

  • Ability to support proposals, client presentations, project mobilization, technical reviews, and delivery improvement initiatives with clear written and verbal communication.

  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and problem-solving skills in complex, changing, and client-facing environments.

  • An engineering technology background, professional designation, or equivalent practical infrastructure delivery experience would be an asset.

Success measures

  • Projects and pursuits receive consistent Information Management and Digital Delivery SME support early enough to shape delivery strategy and avoid downstream rework.

  • Project teams have clear, repeatable standards, templates, and guidance for BIM, information management, CDE governance, and structured information deliverables.

  • The Canada Information Management and Digital Delivery team gains additional senior technical leadership without the role being absorbed into project model production.

  • Clients and internal project leaders receive confident, practical advice on BIM, information management, data, GIS, automation, and digital delivery governance.
