Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify workplace hazards and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements.
- Monitor construction activities and ensure adherence to approved safety procedures, permits, and regulatory requirements.
- Carry out risk assessments and job safety analyses for site activities and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Support implementation of project health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and safety initiatives.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and training programs for site personnel and contractors.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, conduct root cause analyses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor the use, availability, and condition of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety systems.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and site management to promote a proactive safety culture across the project.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, inspection reports, incident records, audits, and compliance reports.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, safety audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site safety performance.
Essential Candidate Requirements:
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma with Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) from a recognized institution.
- Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or EPC/EPCM project environments.
- Sound knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Experience in conducting site safety inspections, hazard identification, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Familiarity with permit-to-work systems, emergency response procedures, and contractor safety management.
- Ability to develop, implement, and monitor HSE plans, procedures, and safety improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of safety documentation, reporting requirements, and compliance management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital safety reporting tools.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence safe behaviors.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary project teams while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
