Mott MacDonald is currently seeking a highly motivated Consultant to join our dynamic Advisory team located in our Vancouver office. In this position, you will have the opportunity to support projects across a range of sectors including transit and transportation, built environment, energy, and water. You will support growth initiatives through establishing and building client relationships, supporting the development of junior and intermediate staff, and contributing to Mott MacDonald’s commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities will involve:
- Supporting mandates to public sector authorities and private sector clients with strategic advice related to digital transformation, infrastructure investment decisions, procurement, and capital and operating expenditure;
- Supporting mandates to public sector authorities and private sector clients with digital delivery of major infrastructure programs and projects;
- Planning, organizing, coordinating, and working with technical and management groups in the delivery of a range of projects;
- Coordinating with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to ensure project goals and objectives are met;
- Supporting the development of procurement documentation including administering project specifications, including but not limited to alternative forms of procurement such as P3s, CMGCs, and PDBs;
- Supporting and leading proposal development including scope development and work planning, ensuring the responses align with the RFP requirements and the client's needs;
- Supporting adherence to compliance with internal performance metrics and business management systems regarding quality, risk, and other compliance processes;
- Maintaining industry knowledge of current standards and procedures concerning digital delivery, project management and other relevant technical disciplines; and
- Nurturing an innovative, challenging, collaborative, and high-performing work environment, which supports the use of digital tools and technology and fosters the Mott MacDonald values and culture.
Candidate Specification:
Candidates who can demonstrate the following skills and experience will be considered for the role:
- A post-secondary degree with 5-10 years of career experience related to engineering and/or infrastructure (including social infrastructure) development;
- Experience and knowledge of the Canadian and broader North American infrastructure industry including energy, water, transportation and the vertical buildings sectors;
- Familiar and proficient with project management principles and processes;
- Well-developed writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences;
- Familiarity and experience of management consultancy with a focus on digital transformation and change management principles;
- Comfortable chairing high profile meetings and facilitating workshops for clients;
- Ability to build and foster positive working relationships with our business partners, suppliers, contractors, and clients;
- Knowledge and experience of risk identification, management and mitigation;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working within a team environment;
- Able to work independently and unsupervised;
- A keenness to grow client relationships and expand existing mandates; and
- Positive attitude and team player, ability to work in a team environment.
- Certification in ISO 19650 and Information Management practices is considered an asset.

Multiple factors such as qualifications, overall experience and position responsibilities will be used to determine the successful candidate's actual salary within the expected range.
The expected salary range for this position is from $93,000 - $114,000.
